Layup weights
On-water profile
Both scores are rated at the hull's own design weight. How these are derived.
Suits: Double ocean racing and downwind for two competent paddlers; too narrow for casual tandem use
Paddler weight
This hull is built around a paddler of about 73 kg per seat. It stays workable from 64 kg to 77 kg, and sits at its best between 68 kg and 74 kg.
Derived from published hull dimensions and calibrated against manufacturer paddler limits, not taken from a marketing range. The method, in full.
Generations
Elite double launched off the back of the 62 solo, using the same cockpit ergonomics, seat depth and bucket layout front and rear. Nelo's second double alongside the much more stable 600 SS2. Constructions SCS (14kg) and WWR (16kg), one size.
What works, and what it costs you
What works
- Race-oriented double rather than a wide tandem trainer
- Cockpit carried straight across from the 62, so it feels familiar
- Light for a double at 14kg in SCS
- Both cockpits get the same ergonomics, not a compromised rear seat
Trade-offs
- Nelo publishes no price and no Australian dealer stocks it
- Launched 2026, so no independent reviews
- One size only - no cockpit options for mismatched crews
- 7.5m is awkward to transport and store
What paddlers say
Nelo product copy: 'The Nelo 75 features the exact same ergonomics, seat depth, and structural bucket layout as the acclaimed 62 solo ski... The hump height, seat angle, and narrow catch zones are duplicated precisely for both the front and back paddlers' (nelo.eu).Reported experience

Where to buy
Dealers in the markets we have mapped:
Nelo does not publish list prices for its ocean range, and the Australian dealer (Pro Kayaks) still catalogues only the superseded 520/550/560/600 boats, so there is no AU price for this hull yet. For scale, Pro Kayaks sells the outgoing 560 at A$5,700 (carbon/kevlar WWR) to A$6,900 (carbon SCS). Price on application through a Nelo dealer.
