Longer (6.3m against 6.195m) and 2.4cm wider than the SEA, with 110kg capacity against the SEA's 95kg, so it carries bigger paddlers.

How we rate this
Modelled from this hull's traced beam and depth at its design weight. Medium confidence. Speed is our rating. Both are given at the hull's own design weight.
Stability here means how steady the ski feels sitting still on flat water. Where two craft have overlapping ranges, we can't say which is more stable. Downwind handling is a separate thing, covered in the evidence note.
Evidence note. This band is based on a trace of this hull’s geometry. Qualitative context includes 6 linked sources.
Speed is also checked against the traced hull. Measured from this boat's side and plan photos, the shape alone rates 8, and the score shown is moved a third of the way toward that. What that means.
Paddler weight
The estimated sweet spot is 79–92 kg, with a broader estimated guide of 64–95 kg. This estimate is a guide, not a limit. Seat fit, conditions and paddling style matter. Lighter paddlers can still enjoy a larger hull, especially downwind. A test paddle is the best check.
Estimated from hull dimensions using a formula fitted to makers’ own paddler limits. It does not establish the designer’s intended paddler weight. How this is worked out.
Who it suits
Elite racing and downwind for heavier/taller paddlers; strong windy open-ocean conditions; more secondary stability makes rough-water edging and remounts easier than the SEA.
Good
- Elite speed with more forgiving stability than the SEA
- 110kg capacity and a 1.65-1.96m paddler range suit larger, taller paddlers
- RT-1 footboard, new ergonomic seat and highly adjustable foot tracks
- Lighter than the SEL in Alpha and Excel (10.7kg and 11.7kg)
Trade-offs
- Elite racing ski, not for beginners or intermediates
- No Advantage layup, so the cheapest build is the Excel
- No Australian listing found
- Little independent review coverage so far

Generations
Launched in March 2023 to replace the SEL in Stellar's range: a reworked hull at 20'8" (6.3m) x 17.25" (43.8cm) with a new low-volume cockpit, RT-1 3-point footboard, ergonomic seat for larger paddlers and redesigned gunwales for a tighter catch. Stellar compares it to a narrower, faster Falcon melded with the SEA.
