Both scores are rated at the hull's own design weight. How these are derived.

Same 43cm beam as the Uno Max but lower volume/deck, tuned for light paddlers; a multi-ski owner (surfski.info) called it 'the most unstable ski I paddled' outside a K1, though fast enough it beat his Uno Max in one time trial.

Suits: Flat-water time trials and downwind for light, experienced racers (50-90kg). Not a boat to learn on.

Paddler weight

This hull is built around a paddler of about 90 kg. It stays workable from 79 kg to 95 kg, and sits at its best between 84 kg and 92 kg.

Derived from published hull dimensions and calibrated against manufacturer paddler limits, not taken from a marketing range. The method, in full.

Generations

~2011-2022 (Gen1/Gen2)

Predecessor to the current Uno; composite race ski built for lightweight elite paddlers.

Gen3, current

Lower leg hump improves leg drive for shorter-legged paddlers; reduced deck height cuts windage. Validated by World Champion Teneale Hatton.

  • Narrow 50-90kg paddler window
  • Ultimate layup special order only

Stew, Think Kayak Australia (surfski.info): at 77kg found himself 'on the very lower limit' for the Max and kept returning to it over the Uno despite loving the Uno's fit.Reported experience
