Both scores are rated at the hull's own design weight. How these are derived.

43.5cm elite beam near Fenn Elite S anchor (3/9.5); slightly more stable/less outright top-end than the marginally narrower OSS2.

Suits: Elite ocean racing and downwind.

Paddler weight

This hull is built around a paddler of about 82 kg. It stays workable from 72 kg to 87 kg, and sits at its best between 76 kg and 83 kg.

Derived from published hull dimensions and calibrated against manufacturer paddler limits, not taken from a marketing range. The method, in full.

Generations

2015-present

Top racing tier of the Felci-designed Ocean range (alongside OSS2).

Where to buy

The OSS1 is out of production. It turns up on the second-hand market; there is no new-boat channel for it.

Maker closed Ocean (OSS) is no longer trading. Ocean Surfski was renamed Ozean about eighteen months in and then wound up. No maker site resolves and no dealer lists the range.

Nobody sells Ocean (OSS) new. The second-hand market is the only channel.

Estimated AU carbon new price; confirm with dealer.
