Huki · Double
Huki S2-XM
7.37m x 50.2cm double that is almost all waterline, with a waterline beam Huki puts at 17.3in (about 44cm) under 143kg of paddlers. Lower and less bulky than the S2-X, with a sharp V in the fore hull, a steeply ridged fore deck, even rocker that lifts slightly at the rudder, and cut-away gunwales for a narrow catch in both cockpits. Weights quoted with a 4in rudder.

On-water profile
Modelled from published beam, length and deck height. Low confidence. Speed is our rating. Both are given at the hull's own design weight. How we rate.
Stability here means how steady the ski feels sitting still on flat water. Where two craft have overlapping ranges, we can't say which is more stable. Downwind handling is a separate thing, covered in the evidence note below.
Evidence note
Suits: All conditions for two small to mid-sized paddlers, including rough water and downwind.
Paddler weight
Huki rates this hull for paddlers from 50 kg to 86 kg per seat.
The maker’s published range. How this is worked out.
Generations
Introduced March 2012 as a nose-to-tail redesign of the 2006 S2-X, with lower volume for small and mid-sized paddlers. Custom built to order in Sacramento, California.
