## Specifications
- Length: 6.44 m
- Beam: 44 cm
- Deck height: 31 cm (estimated)
- Layup weights: Glass 16.8 kg, Vacuum null kg, Carbon 13.6 kg

## Ratings (Surfski Index estimates)
- Stability band 5–7 out of 10 (dimension estimate, low confidence).
- Speed rated 8 out of 10.

Modelled from published beam, length and deck height. Low confidence. Speed is our rating. Both are given at the hull's own design weight.

These ratings are Surfski Index estimates, worked out from published dimensions, traced hull shapes where we have them, and reviews. They are not supplied by the maker or timed on the water. How a ski feels depends on your weight, skill, set-up and the conditions, so use them to shortlist skis and paddle one before you buy. Method: https://surfskiindex.com/how-it-works/#limits

Evidence note: This band is estimated from published dimensions. Qualitative context includes 3 paddler reports and 3 linked sources.

## Paddler weight
Estimated sweet spot 71–82 kg, broader estimated guide 58–86 kg. An estimate from hull dimensions, not the designer's intended weight.

## Suits
Was raced across ocean and flat-water in its day; as an early-2000s narrow elite hull it rewards a strong, confident brace and is unforgiving for newer paddlers.

## Hull
Older-generation narrow elite hull, less refined/more 'nervous' feeling than the Mako6 that replaced it, per Fenn's own product copy at the time. Predecessor to the Mako6/Mako Elite family; single footwell, cable rudder steering.

## What works
- Won more races than any other double ski of its era (the Millennium Double was especially dominant)
- Simple, robust fibreglass construction, easy to repair
- Historically significant - direct predecessor of the Mako6/Mako Elite lineage

## Trade-offs
- Superseded by more stable, equally fast designs (Mako6) as early as 2006
- Narrow, unforgiving hull by modern standards
- Scarce on the used market and ageing glass/gelcoat condition risk

## Generations
- c.2000-2006 (single); Millennium Double continued longer: The Fenn Mako Millennium was the brand's reigning top-end single before being superseded by the Mako6 in early 2006. A 'Mako Millenium Double' remained in the range into the early 2010s. This entry covers the single; discontinued, used/collector market only.

## What paddlers say
- "i owned a fenn millennium in the past and loved the boat except it would rub a lot of skin off my back after about 8 miles of racing" - paddler review on Paddling.com
- "my previous double was a Fenn Millennium" - Dale Lippstreu, surfski.info review of the Fenn Mako Elite Double
- "Learning to paddle a Fenn Millennium surf ski downwind" - YouTube training video (paddler still actively using an old Millennium for downwind coaching)
