## Ratings (Surfski Index estimates)
- Stability band 4–6 out of 10 (dimension estimate, low confidence).
- Speed rated 9 out of 10.

Modelled from published beam, length and deck height. Low confidence. Speed is our rating. Both are given at the hull's own design weight.

These ratings are Surfski Index estimates, worked out from published dimensions, traced hull shapes where we have them, and reviews. They are not supplied by the maker or timed on the water. How a ski feels depends on your weight, skill, set-up and the conditions, so use them to shortlist skis and paddle one before you buy. Method: https://surfskiindex.com/how-it-works/#limits

Evidence note: This band is estimated from published dimensions. Qualitative context includes 1 paddler report and 3 linked sources.

## Paddler weight
Estimated sweet spot 76–89 kg, broader estimated guide 62–92 kg. An estimate from hull dimensions, not the designer's intended weight.

## Suits
Open-ocean racing and downwind runs for experienced/elite paddlers; moderate to big water

## Hull
Narrow (42cm) mid-volume elite ocean-racing hull derived from the Fenn Millennium downwind lineage, tuned for speed and glide in open water. Tippy, low-forgiveness cross-section aimed at experienced paddlers; refined seat position for comfort and reach on long ocean legs.

## What works
- Fast elite ocean/downwind hull off the Molokai-winning Millennium lineage
- Adjustable seating (unlike the fixed-leg Millennium) aids fit and resale
- Light full-carbon Super Maxi layup ~10.5kg

## Trade-offs
- Tippy 42cm hull unsuited to beginners
- Discontinued and brand website offline – no support or spares
- Almost no resale market outside Australia

## Generations
- ~2011-2017 (discontinued): (discontinued) Elite ocean-racing ski from Gold Coast maker DD3 (Dynamic Durable Designs), inspired by the Molokai-winning Fenn Millennium but with adjustable seating instead of the Millennium's fixed leg length. Absent from DD3's later (2020-2025) catalogue, which moved to the Skyfall Iron series; the dd3.com.au site is now offline (domain lapsed by mid-2026).

## What paddlers say
- DD3 product copy: 'Inspired by the Molokai winning FENN Millennium, the ENVY has all the attributes that gave the Millennium its reputation as the World['s] fastest Ocean Racing Ski' and 'provides a speed, comfort and stability not available in other competitor skis' (dd3.com.au, archived 2011).
